[Yaesu] VOX on FT-101ZD

Hi,

A friend of mine has a problem with the VOX on his FT-101ZD.
He says when he follows the instructions in the Service Manual
explaining the vox it (vox) does not work. However, when he uses the 
microphone as normal and releases the key the vox delay works. 

Any soloutions would be appreciated.
