[Yaesu] Yaesu FT-840 opinions.

Hello,

I'm saving to buy a new transceiver. The FT-840's price in Canada has been
reduced, at the new price it becomes an even more viable option. I would
like the hear about your on-the-air experiences operating this radio. The
QST review is not bad but I'm looking for additional info, mainly receiver
performance. I don't expect it to be as good as more expensive models, but
is it good in its price class?
