[Yaesu] Best buy?

IMHO,

Given the latest round of serious displeasure with the
IC775, I'd personally opt for the 1000MP. The 756 is
a wonderful radio, but not in the same league as the
other two.

775 Problem: It is widely reported that when operating
split in CW mode, rf is being transmitted on the LISTENING
frequency. While it is technically within spec, the spur
is about -50 db, it's still strong enough to be heard
locally at 150 watts. When used with a high-gain amplifier
the problem is bad enough that users get blasted for
transmitting on the wrong vfo, when in truth, they are not,
other than this unwanted cypher.

Icom refuses to acknowledge the problem, but it's sure
got a lot of the local hams here in the Minneapolis area
upset. There is a "fix", but it doesn't seem to be 100%
reliable, and it results in losing qsk capability.

Good luck with your search.
