[Yaesu] FT-900 turn off orange display light?

Hello everyone,

Is there a mod or key combination that allows turning off the orange 
lighting (but not the display itself) on the FT-900 display?

When the 900 is powered on or off there sometimes is a delay between the 
numbers on the LCD and the orange light, so I believe there should be 
something.
