I am giving thought to trying out this new digital mode. In reviewing =
the documentation for the program the interconnects required between the =
rig and sound card are as follows:
=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=
=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=

Connect a screened audio cable from the audio output of your SSB =
receiver to the line input jack of your soundcard. Either left or right =
input (or both) will work. Don't use the microphone input of the =
soundcard. It's best to use a dedicated auxiliary audio output on the =
receiver which does not vary in level with speaker volume.

Connect a similar audio lead from the left or right stereo output (but =
not both) of the soundcard to the auxiliary audio input of your SSB =
transmitter. Again, it's best to use a dedicated auxiliary audio input =
(phone patch) rather than the microphone input.=20

I do not use the two jacks on the back of the 990 labeled "AF Out" and =
"Patch In" so it would seem I could satisfy the above requirements by =
utilizing those two jacks and just making up a couple of shielded audio =
lines with phono jacks on one end (for the 990) and 1/8" mono jacks on =
the other (for the sound card).

Is it really that simple ..or am I missing something?
