[Yaesu] FT-50 Comments?

Hello,
   I am looking into purchasing an FT-50 and wanted comments, both good
and bad, about the rig from owners.  The Kenwood TH-G71A is also in the
running.  Has anyone used Pryme battery packs with the FT-50? 
Impressions?
