[Yaesu] VFO Shaft Locked Up

My FT 840 shaft seized during the Canada Day Contest July 1.
It was so tight Vice Grips would not turn it,
I had to have the encoder and shaft replaced.
It cost $138 CAN that about $80 US.
The part was $50 CAN
