[Yaesu] Filter Question

Would appreciate help with a bit of a head scratcher.  The "XF-110C" is 
listed as the 500hz 455Khz i.f. filter for the FT-1000.  I recently acquired 
an XF-110C, but found that it has quite a different pin configuration (4 
male pins) than the FT-1000 uses (8 female).  Does anyone know if Yaesu 
changed the pin configuration at some point without changing the part no.?
