[Yaesu] VibroPlex Code Warrior Jr. problems

I had the same problem with an Iambic keyer from them.  Come to find out
that they
had put way too much powder paint on the base.  I couldn't get a good ground
connection through all the paint.  Problem solved with a little scraping and
some
good star washers placed where there were no washers before.
