[Yaesu] Optional Filters for Mark V Field

I am not much of CW op.. mostly SSB and PSK31 and related modes.

Not seeing a whole lot of specifics in the published materials so far, I am 
wondering if the optional filters are really necessary in my case. What is 
the most narrow bandwidth achievable for SSB on the stock rig... (2.4k.. 
?)  and maybe just as important to me, how far can you open it up on SSB ( 
2.8... ?)

For CW and the digi modes, can 500Hz be achieved with the stock rig?
