[Yaesu] PA-17 Battery Extended

Hi fellas, anyone using a Yaesu PA-17 Battery Extender with the FNB-40
series batteries for the FT50R..
battery has 3 contacts and so does the Extender section, but not all 3 line
up, does the ft50r HH, require 2 contact pads of Postive Voltage to fire ..
you can clip FNB-40 into batt section of extender, and have volts on the
other section, but when clipped into HH, no GO, brass contacts on HH
extender section are spaced and only one pad of positive voltage and one pad
of neg make contact, but rig won't fire, can you rearrange contact pads, to
have 2 x + volts 1 x neg ,??
 would like to talk to someone that has used a PA17
