Guessed you've heard the good things about the Inrad filters already. I
also have them installed, too! I have the 400Hz CW and 1.8KHz SSB
installed. They work a lot better than the stock filters.

Also, the FT-920's expansion mod is via software. You have to download the
file, run it through a serial cable (the CAT port) or something like that --
I've done that over 5 years ago. Anyhow, the software overwrites the
FT-920's EPROM. Cool.... But the down side is that I've heard many people
had made irreversable damage to their EPROM, too! The cost to replace that
chip is not cheap, so user beware. Some said that the EPROM is only write
once. Some of these users attempted to overwrite the EPROM once, then twice
for some reason. The next thing they knew was the service call and the
shipping address.

Hi all, I'm a newbe of the group. I'd like to insert additional filters from
Inrad into my 920 but I wanted to know what you guys think on this issue, I
guess it has already been discuss in the past though.

ANother question has to do with the RX expansion from 30 to 50MHz, would it
be possible? if so, how?

Thanks in advance.
