Hey Guys,
Now here's neat piece of trivia for the day.  I just acquired a Japanese
copy of the December 1971 CQ Magazine in Japanese.
Boy it's fun to look through that.  If you know where I can find
any more of these, please let me know.

In 1971 the FT-101 sold for 138,000 Yen.
In todays dollars, I think we are looking at the current exchange rate
of something like 113 Yen to the Dollar.  So if we were to buy the FT-101
from Toyomura's in Tokyo at todays prices it would cost you
$1,221.23 cents
Y138000/113=  $1,221.23 in todays dollars.

The FL-2100 Amplifier was Y79,800 Yen
$706
Y79800/113=  $706 in todays dollars

The FV-101 VFO sold for Y19,500 Yen 
&
The SP-101 Speaker sold for Y 4,300 Yen

Maybe you had better take care of that old FT-101, it's going up in Value
