Thanks Gary, but where do we stand with the Audio & ALC now ?
Did you ever get any RF out of the rig using SSB mode?
I use to have a Web page, right now it's down. I plan on making another
site
in the near future. Best 73's & Regards for now.

Carol,
Wow, I am impressed! I guess if all else fails, you are the person
to send it to. Do you have a web page? I am a heavy construction
electrician, and feel pretty confident with three phase 440v, and the
control circuits that make our concrete plants and quarries run, but when
it comes to electronics, I am just beginning to grasp the more difficult
elements of theory. I did a crash course of studying for my tech and
general license, but unfortunately the study books I purchased didnt
include much theory, just hitting on the answers. My dad dug out our
books from the early eighties that we used for our novice tickets and I
am studying them for a better understanding. It aggravates me to have a
hobby that I dont fully grasp, the cars, telescopes, etc, were a piece of
cake in comparison. I have to admit, I dont understand checking my idle
current on ssb without modulation. I carefully read the manual when
tuning the rig, but when stepping away from the directions, I fear
causing damage. Again, I am learning, and will continue until I
understand it all with good comprehension. I could have bought a new rig,
and gotten on the air at once, but I have a desire to learn and I
appreciate the way things were once built. Thank you for your time.
