[Yaesu] RE: FT-1000MP- Mk V audio problems

I got this radio in trade with an audio problem. The previous owner tried to
hook it directly to his computer to work rtty with it. The computer was on
another 110vac circuit. After he hooked them together, the audio stopped
working. I have noticed 2 SMD 3 terminal devices near the PTT jack on the
bottom of the audio board with the tops blown off them. Additionally, there
are 2 small thru hole diodes near the AF out plug that appear to be shorted,
at least the resistance is the same both ways thru them.
the radio was hooked directly to the computer, no interface.
My questions are:
1 Has anyone faced this problem before, and
2 does Yaesu do board repair or just want to sell you a new one?
