Dave;
The 1000D only has one memory backup battery. It is used
to hold up all
the memories in the radio. It's a little coin-type
battery that's soldered
to the PC board under the trap door on the lid. Just
remove the top and you
should see it. I think the normal voltage is 3.3 volts.
You can order a replacement
from Yaesu, or most battery stores can weld leads to a
standard Sony battery
for you. Just take the old one with you. Good Luck

Can someone tell me if there is a battery in the FT1000D
to hold the
antenna tuner memory? If so, where is the battery
located?
