[Yaesu] What am I doing wrong?

Charles,

Your radio working fine. From the description of the IDBT function in 
the operating manual: "The IDBT feature is only available in the USB and 
LSB modes."

It's on page 74 of my Mark V Field manual. It may be on a different page 
  in the manual for the 200w radio.
