[Yaesu] Yaesu/Vertex Mics on Icom IC-Q7A?

I was assured via several sources that a mic
intended for a Yaesu VX-2, 5, or 7 and several
other Yaesu/Vertex rigs would work on an Icom
IC-Q7A handheld.

I received my throat mic/earphone device from
Gadget Infinity and it does not work.

When the 4-pin connector is inserted it causes
the Q7 to jump into transmit mode.

I can easily get into the PTT/VOX case because
they were kind enough to screw vs plastic-weld
it together.

Recommendations as to how I should rewire this
to work properly with the Q7, please?
