1200 Started on 15m, band in good shape. 65 Q in the first hour
and already worked 13/16 Polish Wojs on 15m.
1300 Had to move 5 KHz, LU stn CQ-ing on my freq. UP5P calls in
and his serial number 10 more than mine.
1400 BD, China called and ZS6 for good African mult. This hour
I QSY to check out 10m.
1500 10m started slow, but soon picked up some S.Americans and
a nice run of SP's. UP5P now 33 Q ahead of me - this guy
is serious. Score is 500,000 in 4 hrs.
1600 Reached 250 Q and everything ticking over nicely. 10m good
to Europe, but no sign of USA. Score 750,000 in 5 hrs.
1700 Quick check back on 15m to find USA, but none found, so QSY
20m for first time. Score now 1,000,000 in 6 hrs.
1800 20m very noisy - QRN, so kept checking 15m and picking out
few S.Americans.
1900 20m QRN reduced, and a nice rate going. UP5P calls again and
he's now 13 Q behind me. However, UW8I is 39 Q better than me.
2000 First USA stn, and big jump in score - continent mult.
Check out 40m, but that band has big QRN from jammer.
2100 Quick look on 80m, but band also noisy. Ahead of UP5P by 16 Q.
My score has reached 3,000,000 in 10 hrs.
2200 40m now a little better. UP5P calls in for final time and
he's only 4 Q behind me. It's a race to the finish now!
2300 Another check on 80m, QRN has died now. Score is 4,000,000 pts.
0000 500 QSO, just after the half-way point.
0100 Rate getting slower. UR6F also means business, he's 4 Q ahead.
QSY 20m, smart move, brought VK6 immediately for new continent.
0200 Only 7 Q this hour, and first sign I am feeling tired.
0300 QSY 15m earlier than I planned. Another good move, with YB and
VK2 immediately. Score is 6,000,000 and I'm really tired.
0400 10m, 15m, 20m now open - possibilities everywhere!
0500 15m & 20m excellent with first ZL on 15m. I feel more awake.
0600 10m really buzz with Europe, and VK6GOM big signal. Lots of
SP stations. Very good hour. Score up to 7,000,000
0700 Another good hour staying on 10m and moving occasional stns
to 15m for band/mults where possible. Score is 8,500,000
0800 10m still good to EU. QSY'd GU0SUP onto 15m to bring score
up to 9,000,000
0900 10m propagation almost died. Who pulled the plug?
Seems like Sporadic-E. Wonder how UP5P, UR6F and UW8I are?
1000 15m also dying, condx getting bad. Mostly search and pounce
but rate slowing badly.
1100 Checking 15m & 20m with s & p. Frantically calling CQ to narrowly
reach 10,000,000 and 800 Q.
