Comments:

This is a rough score due to some PC problems, but the final score will be close
to the claimed one. This contest expedition was the first serious effort of the
members of recently formed Bulgarian Contest Group. The aims of expedition was to
check the suitability of Grand Efe Hotel near Ozdere Turkey as contest QTH for
our future contest activities. The goal defined was - second Asia and Top Ten
world in M/S category and we think it was at least partially achieved.
Propagation on 10m was VEERY POOR and this has affected our score significantly
(only about 200 QSOs on 10m).
After unsuccessful attempts to get a donation from several well known antenna
manufacturers against advertizement of their products we decided to go on our
own. Thus the "Home Made Delta Loops Team" was born - Hi. We obtained a 10m
telescopic military mast and made a second 6m mast of aluminum tubes. 2L Delta
Loop on 20m and 3L Delta Loop on 15m were placed on 10m telescopic mast and 3L
Delta Loop was placed on 6m mast. Single Delta Loops were made on 40 and 80m.
Dipoles and verticals were used for multiplier station with 100 W.
All equipment, antennas and of course operators were transported to Ozdere with

minibus without a single problem at customs on LZ and TA border. BIG thanks to
Yasar - TA3D ( the Turkish member of the team) for obtaining again the YM3LZ
callsign.BIG THANKS to the staff of Grand Efe Hotel for their hospitality, too.

For those of you who would like to read the full story with lot of pictures,
please check our web site http://www.qsl.net/ym3lz after few weeks. Those of
you who would like to support us and to be able to work our contest team in
future contests, too - order the video which will be made next month about our
WPX CW 2002 contest expedition.

See you all in IARU Contest.

73's de Wally LZ2CJ, LZ8T and YM3LZ
