                    ARRL 160-Meter Contest

Call: K3ZO
Operator(s): K3ZO
Station: K3ZO

Class: Single Op HP
QTH: MDC
Operating Time (hrs): 10

Summary:
Total: QSOs = 638 Sections = 70 Countries = 15 Total Score = 113,815

Club: Potomac Valley Radio Club

Comments:

I had expected to quit after 500 QSOs but the band was very quiet
and activity was good, and with my EWE fixed I could hear for a
change, so I hung in there for more time than I expected.

I have two half-slopers off my 140 foot tower, and since I don't
have enough ports on my antenna switches for all my antennas, I
am in the habit of leaving only one of my slopers connected to
my system at any one time. Of course for the contest I hooked
them both up so I could switch instantly between them, and I
discovered that with both of them connected my SWR dropped to
half of the value I had been seeing with only one connected.
Guess I'll find some way to keep them both connected from here
on.
