Comments:

Deciding to try phone, switched logger to Phone only to find, no mic. Spent 1/2
hour looking for my stock hand mic.
Modest casual operation here with Vert GP and 40m OCF dipole up 30' competing
with all manner of local background noise from the residents who also live here!

Worked it as much as other duties allowed.
S&P all the way, calling CQ seems a bit frightening at this juncture... had fun.
First 10m contest experience. First time with Logging ware, non interfaced.
Forgot to manually change modes to Phone in the log...got about 5 Qs down the
log before I realized it; had to edit line by line; realized it messed me up
because I duped P40K on phone, but because I was still in CW mode on the logger
when I made the 2nd P40K QSO, the dupe did not register. When I tried to edit
that entry to Phone so it would score appropriately, it came up DUPE and allowed
either Delete or Delete. Because P40K gave me an exchange complete with
serial#, I was stuck. Only way around it was to enter it as P40K/Dupe- only
then did the log accept the mode change to Phone and allow the entry. So, had
to go back and edit the Cabrillo file final score by subtracting the 2 points
times the multiplier. It auto logged as Aruba, however, not as /Dupe, so I did
not subtract a multiplier.

Anyone else ever had something like THAT happen? hi.

Walked away from the contest a few times forgetting to log out. One of those
times was in my slightly hurried quest for microphone. Couple other times were
during telephone calls... helping my youngest daughter in the potty... the
usual. All on Sunday. Saturday, did it for a short time before getting paged
and having to leave, and next finishing all remaining day-light at a couple
malls and Sam's Club. The usual.

TS-850SAT external tuner to GP Vert on roof or 40m OCF dipole up 30'
depending.
80W. Stock hand mic, (finally found in a Pad Pack full of miscellaneous jumpers,
connectors, the digital interface kit I've had completed for over 6 months now
and never hooked up, and the ToT dummy load kit I still need to assemble). The
mic was sequesterd at the bottom of the bag, wrapped in tissue paper, which in
turn was placed in a Zip Lock Freezer sandwich bag. The usual.

N3FJP software.
Again, non-interfaced- as I don't have a the IF 232C or LCU3/K, nor am I sure
exactly how to build one. Maybe next time. Seems like I hadn't planned on
operating any contest in the near term. Actually, I decided to load the logging
ware very late on Friday night/early Sat morning just in case. As of late,
again, the usual. When life embellishes me with the lattitude to make planning
a worth while dividend instead of an excersize in futility, I'll get serious!
Until then, for the most part, I had a lot of fun, especially on phone.
