Comments:

Only heard one or two high latitude Europe Friday night. Australia, New
Zeeland, Japan and Hawaii were Q5 but nuttin to write home about. At 1100Z
Friday the A index was
at 30, the K at 5 and the Auroal index was maxed out @10, the graphics showed
it dipping all the way down into the US with no problem.

At exactly 12:13 local (according to my log) I did something I have never
done before. I fell asleep at the rig. My right had was still extended to
the radio and my head apparently was resting on my right arm. I slept for
3.5 hours and never woke up. Yesterday's activities must have really taken
their toll as I have never actually passed out at the switch before.

Thanks to all who gave me a qso on both nights.

lot of QRN here and the sigs were way down. As
a result I threw in the towel at 1 am and shut the rig off. The east coast
was still hearing and working Europe and I could hear a few myself but could
not get through the wall.

Hope you all had fun if you were in the contest and that conditions were a
bit better for you. Last night should have been good as the A index went
down to normal levels, the K was still high at 4 but Auroal activity was
lower. Unfortunately, it sounded like summer out there with the static
crashes and QSB even on the Beverages here.
