As the weekend was not totally available I thought a single band entry would
be
fun. So, I decided on 15 meters and started out on Saturday morning. Much to
my surprise 15 opened in south Texas about 13:20 UTC. As I did not have time
to
really compete I set my own goals of 600 Qs and 100 Countries. Well, just
before the end of the contest (actually about 23:50) HL4XM called me and
became my 100th country mult. He was also my 716th Q.
This was my first single band entry, but won't be my last. I really like to
have a radio weekend and also some time to get a few family things done. Nice
compromise.
