Had a really strong (for me) first 18 minutes on 20M (22 for 11), but 40M was
pretty much useless up here with just 10 Qs/6 mults in 12 minutes. Simply too
much daylight on the coax at this time of day.
First time out with the newly twinned half-squares for a bit more gain on 40M
to most of the US, but despite great incoming signals it was one-way prop with
only the finest :) hearing me.
I checked 80M with five minutes to go but nothing workable heard on the
vertical array, so went right back to 40M for more of hardly anything there.
Despite getting lost in the weeds on the back nine, I still managed my best Q
total and score at a puny 527 points. Woulda, coulda, shoulda.
Finally got the 160M inverted-L working again this week, but who had time for
160 with so many other bands to get shut out on?
Activity seemed very high. Nice to work the regulars. Happy to find ZF2DO on
20M. KB9OWD was new and welcome!
Definitely the fastest 30 minutes you never want to miss.
