I did fine ... considering!

Antenna's a 43-ft end-fed wire, from my second-floor apartment balcony into a
tree, about 15 feet above ground. Terrible local noise; it comes and goes but
it was present all weekend. 80 was The Band, but the noise is so bad there I
have to crank the RF gain back to about 1/3, and use the DSP NR. Signals sound
like they are under water, like deep Asians on the long path. This really sucks
but it's the best I can manage here.

Missed Manitoba and NWT. Heard VE4XT once on 40 but he was S/P. That was very
discouraging.

Every year activity on CW seems less. Just about all my contacts had
four-character call signs.

Working friends from 40-plus years ago makes this worthwhile. I turned 60 a
couple of weeks ago; feeling fine. Next year my check will be my age! 61.

Thanks to 366 people for pulling my signal out of the mud.
