Comments:

No major remote problems tonight (Thank God my little remote solenoid widget
worked to push the Confuzer Power ON button after 5 attempts. However, there
was much operator QLF on this end ;-(

Had made a quick trip up to Locust Peak late afternoon to put up a new 80m wire
antenna, but ran out of time to fix the SWR problem (over 4 to 1). The terrain
slope upwards from the support base was worse than I remembered. Sort of an
inverted vee, but the ends are only about 12 feet off the upsloped ground,
which doesn't cut the mustard on 80m. Back to the drawing boards.

I made some F-Keys changes in TR4W this week, and before the NS thought I
should put colored dot labels above the F-Keys. So much for not following my
hunch. It got real UGLY at times when I couldn't remember CTRL+F8 was now QRL?
and a couple of others. Sorry for the goofs. I was also fumble fingers on the
keyboard too much.

20m had LOTS of signals at 0230 UTC for a change, but it seemed they were
either very loud or way down in the mud. Things started like gangbusters here
but waited too long to QSY to 80m after muddling through the keyboard QLF's
especially on 40m. Didn't make my 50+ QSO goal, but exceed the Mult goal
bagging 30 tonight which was somewhat of a thrill.

I had actually recorded an .mp3 of the entire 1st NSL but at 44.1Khz. Still
need to find to find another software program to downsize .mp3's to 22Khz.
Forgot to record the 2nd NSL, but tonight's recording was so full of QLF on
this end I'd be too embarrased to post it :^) Will listen to K0DXC's .mp3
(Tnx, Kid).

Heading for Visalia in the morning. HEY FOLKS, why don't we have the entire
Thursday Night NS gang at Visalia next year? That would be a real gas. We
could probably take over one end of the big NCCC Friday & Saturday Night
Hospitality Room where there's FREE beer, wine & munchies (my kinda place).
Start plannning to attend !!!

73 & Tnx for all the Q's & Mults tonight...

Rick, K6VVA * The Locust
