Comments:
First Night: Where have the conditions gone? Almost only EU workable. Ah o.k.
the sun caused the problem and all wasnÂ't hardly suprising with an A-Index of
36.
2nd night: same procedure, SFI rose, sunspot numbers jumped from 40 to the 65
area and promised to bing better conditions exactly at the end of the contest.
Late afternoon Sunday: first signals from W/VE start to rise, extreme loud
signals from Japan and lots of new prefixes start to fill our log. At this time
we have been around 750 QSOs behind last years result and we almost gave up that
this score will break any record.
But donÂ't count your chicken before they hatch. We had almost 8 hours to go
and conditions were rising extremely; SFI topped 100 again and sun spot numbers
rose into the nineties. W/VE became not only workable. The signals have been
really loud, JA also very loud on 20m but only 2-3 made it on 15 into the log.
Later JA has been workable on the long path.
At the end weÂ're almost 600 QSOs behind last years result, but nevertheless
our score topped last years result. IÂ'm still wondering how that can happen
...
