I was in the Cartwright area of Labrador working from my mobile, on Saturday I
was located in grid GO13, the band opened for a short time and I managed to log
28 Qs, the following day I travelled through grids GO12,13 and 02 on the Trans
Labrador highway anticipating the band would open. Not a single station did I
hear so I headed back to Cartwright for the remainder of the contest. I was a
little dissapointed especially when I was in Grid 02 which probably is a rare
one for many, but that is the magic band, you never know when or who you will
hear.

Mobile setup was a Icom 7000, 100 watts, hamstick mounted on the roof of my
truck by magmount.
