Comments:
This was another last minute operation from N6GEO.
WQ6X opened the Friday operation with just a 6-BTV vertical.
We added the 2-el Stepp-IR (7.5mh) Saturday morning.
We ran a FLEX-3000 (with Skimmer) into a KPA-500 amp to deliver ~150 watts.
Considering the low SFI (~120) we were amazed at the condx on 10 & 80
meters during the contest.
Most amazing was a call from SJ2W on 15-meters at 02:00z (Eu comes in only in
the morning) and several African stations worked via long path. Also notable
was working the 100-W RI1ANZ (Antarctica) at 04:50z on 20-meters. At 95
countries, we JUST missed DXCC.
Overall it was a lot of fun and a challenging contest.
