Comments:

K3CCR is the club station at the Collington continuing-care
retirement community at FM 18OW in MD, just east of DC.

Aug. NAQP CW ops were N3UM and W3GB. We had 2 BIC for 8 hr., and
1 for 3 hr. during staggered supper breaks, so someone on for 11
hr. until rate died at 0455. N3UM ran on 20 thru 80 m. while W3GB
tuned for mults and always-CQing stations on those 3 bands plus
15 and 160 m.

Conditions and activity were good. Got 160 Qs in a
3 hr. run on 20, 18-21 Z, then 192 Qs in a 3.6 hr. run on 40,
2242-0217. Fastest run was on 80: 78 Qs 0230-0325, 87/hr. After
a 16-min. BK, 80 was still good for 60 Qs in our last run hr.,
0341-0443. Mult-hunting on 5 bands went well: missed only DE,
RI, ND, and AK.

Last year we had 3 ops, someone on for 12 hr.,
689 Qs, and claimed 103K vs 88K this year. The big difference:
117 fewer Qs and 22 fewer mults on 15 and 20 this year. This
was too much to make up even with 98 more Qs and 7 more mults
this year on the low bands, 160 thru 40. Sunspots, we miss you!
