NTS: TS590, Alpha 76A, PRO67@60, 80 meter dipole @60 feet, MFJ998 tuner, and
n1mm+. My second time using a special call sign in a contest and it was fun the
first day even with poor band conditions. The second day was much slower and
still had bad band conditions. I also had some problem with the amp as it was
running lower power as one tube was running hotter and I had to shut it off and
let the tubes cool a couple of times and just run low power. I could run the amp
on 75 meters and worked 87 q's with the new tuner and I should have spent more
time on that band. Overall if I was prepared for a test like this it would have
been a total blast! I will be looking forward to next year.
