Comments:
No line noise tonight, thank goodness. 40M seemed pretty good to most of the US
and western Europe, but I was having a lot of computer problems even though not
connected to the internet. Suddenly, the keyboard stopped functioning. I could
not log the last QSO or go on to the next caller. Disconnected and reconnected
the keyboard (a new Dell which came with a new Dell computer a few months ago).
Nothing. Restarted the computer. Still no function of the keyboard. Got XYL's
keyboard from her computer in the den and intended to connect it to my computer,
but accidentally unconnected and reconnected my own keyboard and this time it
sprang back to life. Don't know what to do between now and ARRL SS to prevent
this from happening again. The unwanted popup stuff seems to be primarily on
40M. Not much fun to plan for 24 hours of this type of frustration with rigs
