Comments:

Just 4 hours QRV to test propagation. JO61 never seemed to be a good location
toward US on the low bands. The first down came when DL1REM aka DP7D spotted
AA1K short before the test hearing him with s8. AA1K was barely readable at my
locations beverage about s3..4. What 500 KM more west make a difference.
The contest started and all US and VE were pretty weak. CQing was hopeless so I
moved over the band to call stations I heard. Propagation was very spotty.
Sometimes stations showed up for a minute or two and falled back into noise
after. Best time was after 00:30 when N8OO from LA and N0NI from IA were
workable but no east cost could be heard that time - vy strange. At 01:46 I
worked AC0C from Kansas for the most western QSO.
After 02z the band fall into a deep sleep and very soon after I followed
myself.
Never tried the next night. As I read the propagation was even more worse.
However just a few QSOs to hand out the "rare" DL multiplier :-)
Meet you next in hopefully better conditions
Dietmar
