Comments:
SnP, experimenting with the new ground mounting for the HF9V and not very good
yet. Yard is too small for proper 80m radials. On 80m the Palstar manual got a
2.5 SWR; the 2K-FA amp gave a *High SWR* shutdown after ONE 80m QSO! QSY 40m...
The new setup worked fine on 40 and 20: full 1500w, the amp's internal ATU
producing a near 1:1 SWR. As usual a smoke or CO detector upstairs started
beeping, but stopped at 1400z.
Chilly 27F in Baltimore this morning... discouraging outside work on the
motorcycle (and the HF9V). Too many hobbies!
