Comments:
A M2-flare peaking at 1738Z, and still high volume
residual free electrons in the F2-layer for 7 MHz,
and of course for higher MUF in the daylight sector.
Got Larry OH5XP visiting, so we were busy with the
install till 1918Z, and I restricted myself to 7 MHz
as on 3.5 MHz I am getting a bit too much RF inside
over the coax braid after connecting my improvised
new high-bands vertical as a counterpoise for the
low bands. I have to install some extra jumper wires
to conductive floating structures of the apartment.
Otherwise the low sloper gets a good reflection from
the apartment wall, as well as the soil at least on
7 and 14 MHz with the appropriate relative spacing.
A highlight was working VK2GR in the last minutes.
Cheers/73, Zaba OH1ZAA #1856 CWops
