Comments:
Fooled myself into thinking it was equipment
failure, but it was the linear positioned at
7 MHz, thus no output on 14 MHz, after the
warm-up delay. Thus a late start by 7 minutes.
X-rays were hovering at the B/C-border, with a
lot of blanketing. PA and Britain were strong,
but all of 9A HB OK were VERY weak. I do not
even remember hearing Italy at all. Got called
by many A/K/N/W's not worked before, though
signals were faint overall, and K4RO had an
echo as strong as the main signal delayed by
a few milli-seconds. No VE's heard at all...
On 21 MHz initially only CR6K, then EA8OM,
and suddenly K5KU with lots of QSB. DK9PY
heard on back-scatter in the last minute.
