let's see. the alpha 87a and 89 use two 3cx800a's; the 91-beta uses two
4cx800a's; the CT hf-2500 uses two 3cx800a's...
so there are those amongst us who would propose a rule that would
get rid of three very successful and popular amplifiers, and maybe
tip their manufacturers off the economic tight rope they're walking.
and there is the question of "cool" (i.e. unstressed) operation in
high duty cycle modes like RTTY.
if you're going to propose such a rule, please provide some
"overhead" in the maximum dissipation figure, and give some serious
consideration to the points above!
