To my U.K. Friends:
The current electric utility service to your home leaves much to be
desired, especially hearing of a 60 Amp. main disconnect.
In the United States it is common to have 120/240 service at 200 Amps.
supplied to your home by the utility company. With all the new
electrical appliances the American household uses such as electric water
heaters, electric ranges, clothes dryers, dual electric ovens in kitchens
and swimming pool heaters...not to count the requirements for that big
signal machine,no wonder America is using 200 amp service as its norm..
In fact, many homes today are specifing 400 amp service. I did in our
new home finished last year. You must plan ahead.

Regards,
Bob - K4NV
