I've noticed that also, maybe everybody is contesting. Seriously, I have
been reading with interest all the comments on various amplifier makes, but
don't have much to say about these 'peanut whistle' amplifiers
(hi hi!)

Actually, just got the chassis ordered for the project amplifier here, due
back in 4 weeks or so. Its about 60 inches wide, 36 inches deep, and 48
inches tall, and will be aluminum with a Chromate-Conversion coating
(Irridite). All the parts are here, including tetrodes and sockets. It's
like a big Heatkit waiting for one critical part. Been kindof busy getting
schematics corrected, water hoses ordered, project scheduling and
accounting (not what an RF engineer wants to do, but what the government
thrives on!).
