Hi All

I have the following tube.

Eimac JAN 264/8576 Radial Beam Power Pentode.

This tube has never been used - (I also have the base and chimney) and is
probably circa 1970
I have some data eg
- rated maximum plate dissipation 3000 watts
- designed for use in high performance Class AB1 amplifiers.
- input C 55pF
- output C 18pF
- feedback C 0.13pF
- heater 6V @ 17Amps.
- frequency of maximum rating 30 MHz.
- characteristic curves (typical use) which are now illegible.
This all from a very faded Eimac data sheet.

Installed and serviced original MIL 1KW transmitters way back in the early
70s but cant remember details.
I think the screen operated at about 500V with 3KV on the anode.
I have done a quick search of the Eimac website but the tube is not listed -
could probably get more info by emailing them direct but thought I would
first ask the following.

a - Does anyone on the reflector know this tube ?
b - Are there major disadvantages in using this type of tube in a home brew
linear ?
(apart from possibly its age and the fact that I only have one i.e.
no replacement if it goes bang)

Regards to All.
