re: small amounts of current through cranky contacts.

A small current through a circuit device is nothing new in terms of
contact
preservation. Telephone Companies have used this approach as "sealing
current" for a long time. I use it in audio circuit potentiometers and
I've
seen it in many other places. It works and has been proven over time.

:The TS-430S sometimes suffered from intermittent receive conditions, due
to
:the failure of the contacts in the receive band pass filter. The
recommended
:cure was to run a small amount of dc through the relay contacts. This
same
:solution can be easily adapted to the relays used in amplifiers.
