Real cheapskates (me - 25 years ago) can use this technique to mount a
4CX-1000 with no socket at all.  This is useful because there are no cheap
sockets for the 4CX-1000.

Cut a hole for the tube and airflow.  Use a plate parallel with the chassis
to lock the screen ring to ground.  Fabricate clips for the other rings and
connect to them below chassis.  Then fire it up.  It works.  Harder than
heck to change tubes, though, since that requires disassembly of the
chassis.

My techniques have changed today.
