Hi Nick,
Most of these type slugs fit a specific series sample unit.
Although amusing, the 50KW bird slug is made to fit into a
much larger sampler unit than the classic Bird 43 watt
meter. Still it is impressive to have in the case.
In broadcast work, we have similar situations... The
sampler is made for "inch & 5/8's" line and uses a
specific series of slugs.
