Andy -- According to Econco Broadcast Services, one method of determining
optimal filament potential is to tune up the amplifier for max pep @ max
drive at the nominal filament V, then adjust the filament V to the point
just before pep begins to decrease. This procedure shoud be repeated
ever 500-hours or so as the tube uses up the carburized layer on the
thorium/tungsten filament.

>Thanks to all who replied regarding the heater voltage on my 4pr1000
