" It's a Suburban with a dedicated "25kW" CB amplifier."

A few years ago I lost a $10 bet because I thought this kind of power was
impossible from a mobile; until my friend took me to a "CB KEYDOWN". The
Chevy Suburban had six 270 amp alternators with the fields set to output 22
volts under full engine rev. The alternators fed Peter Dahl transformers,
then rectified for use by the tube with handles. The output was shown on a
real bird wattmeter with a real bird slug. At the keydown, power output was
only needed for 10 seconds and audio quality was not a factor. A fellow
nearby was taking video with his camcorder and the RF shut down the camera !
