One thing I would *not* trust is preamps with "pass through" relays - use
external *good* ones and a sequencer. A yet better approach is to use a
separate feedline for rcv only (assuming preamp is at the antenna) and reinsert
the signal on the exciter side of the pwr amp.
I am sure there are those out there that may be able to address the specific
problem you have.
