Why? Die area is related to the current: voltage to the diffusion profile.
So is the gamma, the factorr elating reverse volatge and capacitance.

Peter --- Since junction (intrinsic-region) C decreases as Vr increases, a diode whose C at 200v is equal to the junction C of a diode whose Vr is 1000v, the 1000piv diode's die would seemingly have to be larger.
