Dear Friends,

Last summer while on a project in New Jersey I purchased
a used wristwatch over E-bay and the item was totally
different than the pictures or description, and the seller
became suddenly unavailable, either directly or through
E-Bay on attempting to arrange a refund.

This person made the foolish move to e-mail me back and
forth with payment directions, shipping instructions, answers to
questions, etcetera.

E-Bay attempted to contact this person in their Fair-Trade
dispute resolution program and could not, and subsequently this
person was barred from trading.

I pursued a fraud prosecution with the FBI through their
Internet Crime Bureau, and am proud to say this person,
Ronald Kindrick McCoy, was apprehended through the
diligence of FBI investigators, found to have defrauded
over $107,000.00 from various E-Bay traders, and is now
Federal Prisoner 12545-078, serving a forty month
incarceration with three years of monitored probation after
release, with full restitution to all victims ordered by a federal
court judge, with the provisions, as a convicted felon, that he never
again
be allowed to vote or own firearms.

My suggestion is to retain e-mail messages with E-Bay sellers and Buyers,
complete with Full Headers. These are seen as legal documents and they
provide a submittable evidentiary record. My further suggestion is that
if you are a victim of a fraud on E-Bay to take steps to report it to the
FBI. The process works, as Mr. McCoy found out, to his ultimate dismay.

Respectfully,

Hal
