You certainly can detect it with your fingers. The wisdom of so doing is
completely another matter.
I find the problem is that after years of 5/12/24 volt stuff, I find it easy
to forget when working on stuff with high voltages (like 200 - 300 volts)
that you mustn't poke your clammy fingers in amongst the components!
